Best Luxury Cleansing Milk Online
If you’re thinking “what’s a milk cleanser?” don’t worry - you’re not alone. It’s not ‘milk skin care’ - as in, skin care that’s got milk in it.
What Is Cleansing Milk?
When you call something a milk cleanser, the ‘milk’ part refers to how much it resembles that - not that it’s actually a milk face wash.
This type of cleanser is unique because they’re in between an oil cleanser and a cream cleanser. Since they tend to have a bit more oil (not as much as oil cleansers) they can break down light makeup much better than gel cleansers.
Like all other cleansers though, a milk facial cleanser is still designed to wash away any grime and impurities on the skin - and they’re able to do this super gently. Because they tend to have more moisturising oils, you’re better off using cleansing milk if you have normal to dry skin. Having a little bit of extra moisturising power goes a long way towards maintaining healthy, hydrated skin.
How to Use a Milk Cleanser
Kind of like using a cleansing oil, you should massage a milk facial cleanser onto dry skin. This gives it the best chance to break down any oil-based dirt on your skin. However, there’s one major difference - unlike other cleansers, they’re not always designed to rinse off easily.
Some formulas can be gently tissued off or wiped away with a warm, damp flannel to cleanse skin, while others are designed to rinse away easily. The advantage of just tissuing a milk facial cleanser off means that there’s oil reside left on the skin, keeping it moisturised.
