Penehaligons Perfumes Online
This luxury British perfumery started with a humble Cornish barber who created fragrances that quickly became popular with the royals - Penhaligon’s rich pedigree starts in 1870, first starting with a small barbershop before growing into the esteemed perfume brand we all know today. Penhaligon’s: Perfumes of Distinction
The very first fragrance from this British perfumer was created in 1872 - it was inspired by the mood and freshness of the Hammam (aka Turkish Bath) next door to Penhaligon’s barbershop! Penhaligon’s Hammam Bouquet has fresh, floral notes of Lavender with Woody and Powdery top notes, creating a time capsule aroma that takes one back to the early 1800s.
This men’s fragrance was incredibly popular and put Penhaligon’s fragrances on the map, attracting the attention of the royal court. William’s son, Walter, eventually took over the business and was commissioned to create a unique perfume for the Duke of Marlborough. Penhaligon’s Blenheim Bouquet, a fresh, Citrus fragrance for men that’s remained popular since 1902 - now that’s a classic!
Penhaligon perfumes would go on to be awarded multiple warrants and endorsements from the British monarchy, cementing this perfume house’s place amongst the best of the best worldwide.
Our Favourite Penhaligon’s Fragrances
Penhaligon’s Halfeti EDP is a unisex fragrance that’ll turn heads - this Amber, Woody perfume has exotic top notes of Cypress Leaf, Saffron, Cardamom, Artemisia, Bergamot and Grapefruit for a spicy, woody first impression that dries down into middle notes of Bulgarian Rose, Nutmeg and Jasmine for a gender-neutral fragrance inspired by Turkey. Base notes of Leather, Cedar, Sandalwood, Amber, Tonka Bean, Vanilla and Musk linger on the skin, evoking images of spiced Turkished markets.
Our other favourite is Penhaligon’s The Tragedy of Lord George EDP. This dark, masculine Amber scent has notes of Brandy, Amber, and Tonka Bean to create an aroma that makes you think of a barbershop or a Victorian-era gentlemen's club. This men’s fragrance has a hint of a fresh, shaving cream smell combined with leather undertones to create a unique, manly fragrance that’ll make the perfect gift for that special someone in your life.
